Green Homes Grant update

Update 13 April 2021:

The government Green Grant scheme has currently been stopped, however please feel free to get in touch if you would like to find out more about green energy for your home.

Launch of the governments green homes grant.

It will run from September 2020 until some time in 2021. It provides funding for upto 2/3rds of the cost of energy efficiency measures to a total of £5,000. In certain circumstances for customers on a wide range of benefits including pension credits and child tax credits, the grant offers upto £10,000 as a 100% contribution towards the cost of the installation. The grant can be applied to primary measures such as Heatpumps and Solar Thermal and to secondary measures such as double glazing (if upgrading from single glazing).

There is a voucher application process from a new government website at this link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-the-green-homes-grant-scheme.

Your works must be carried out by a contractor who is registered with the government Trustmark scheme and if your chosen technology is a Heatpump or Solar Thermal, the installer must also be MCS certified.

H2ecO is approved by Trustmark and is MCS certified so will be able to offer installation work under the scheme.

We believe this scheme is a very positive step towards helping combat climate change.
